  • •Conceptualize, design, develop, analyze, integrate, and test mechanical hardware solutions aligned to engineering requirements.
  • •Participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to support technical decisions.
  • •Serve as the responsible engineer for mechanical hardware development and execution with limited supervision.
  • •Create conceptual designs and technical data packages (TDPs), apply DFMA and GD&T, and perform first-order analyses.
  • •Oversee supplier/manufacturing activities for hardware and sub-assemblies, including resolution of non-conforming hardware, and support assembly build processes and fit checks.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • •Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), basic tolerance analyses, and drawing interpretation for mechanical hardware.
  • •Experience with CAD design tools and/or best practices.
  • •Existing DoD Secret clearance (or existing DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance).
  • •Ability to operate independently with limited supervision as the responsible engineer for mechanical hardware development and execution.
