Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within the assigned teacher and Head of Inclusion/SENCO framework, supporting lesson delivery and providing feedback on learning and behaviour for named students.
  • •Supervise and facilitate individual support aligned to IEP/pupil passport targets, ensuring safety and access to learning activities, including specialist lessons where appropriate.
  • •Provide informal feedback on student progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
  • •Record and share concerns and positive feedback with teachers, colleagues, and supporting professionals; maintain files of IEP/pupil passports and related documentation.
  • •Communicate with parents via emails and reports based on IEP/pupil passport targets and attend staff meetings and Professional Development days; accompany students to ECAs when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school education in English and Math (required).
  • •Experience or aptitude working with students with special educational needs (previous teaching/teaching assistant experience preferred).
  • •Good levels of written and spoken English.
  • •Enthusiasm, commitment, and aptitude for working with students.
  • •Confidentiality and empathy.
