Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate high-complexity middle market risks by conducting onsite client surveys to identify and assess P&C exposure risks.
  • •Visually inspect operations and interview client representatives to determine risk exposures, potential causes of loss, and adequacy of risk controls.
  • •Research client information and analyze loss exposures, severity/frequency trends, and effectiveness of existing controls to prioritize survey activity.
  • •Advise Underwriting on risk insurability and coverages, including recommendations to help clients improve P&C risk management programs.
  • •Create comprehensive technical reports documenting client hazards, exposures, controls, and recommendations, and manage travel/personal workload and special projects to meet timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/BA studies in insurance, risk management, agriculture/food, engineering, business administration, or a safety-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •Six to eight years’ experience in commercial underwriting, commercial claims adjusting, loss control/safety, or related commercial insurance fields.
  • •In-depth knowledge of risk management issues, loss drivers, and risk controls across various commercial industries.
  • •Knowledge of worker’s compensation, fleet, general liability, and property insurance coverage.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex exposures, controls, and recommendations through reports.
