Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and lead Sonova’s global customs and trade compliance strategy, governance framework, policies, and standards.
  • •Serve as Global Process Owner for customs and trade compliance, establishing processes, ownership, controls, and performance standards.
  • •Provide global oversight of tariff classification, customs valuation, origin, import/export documentation, and customs declarations.
  • •Lead global export controls and sanctions programs, including embargoes and restricted-party screening, and maintain risk assessment and internal-control frameworks.
  • •Own trade compliance systems and digitalization roadmap, including SAP GTS and automation, and provide functional leadership to regional and local trade compliance teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
  • •10+ years of progressive experience in customs, export controls, sanctions, and international trade compliance.
  • •Significant experience in a global multinational organization, including leadership of global or regional trade compliance programs.
  • •Deep expertise in customs classification, valuation, origin, import/export requirements, export controls, and sanctions.
  • •Experience with SAP GTS (preferred), including involvement in implementation/rollout or major transformation initiatives.
