Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate maintenance teams to ensure non-stop plant operations. Lead electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs, diagnose malfunctioning equipment, and assign work to mechanics. Interpret safety policies, specifications, blueprints, and work orders; establish preventative maintenance schedules; monitor programs; order parts; and coordinate outside vendor maintenance services to support production.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee workers’ activities for setup, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery to keep plant operations running.
•Lead maintenance and repair work across electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
•Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs needed, and assign mechanics to complete fixes.
•Interpret safety regulations, specifications, blueprints, and job orders; assign duties and establish work procedures to meet production schedules.
•Plan and monitor routine/preventative maintenance, order parts/tools/equipment, and coordinate outside vendors for maintenance services, warranties, and service contracts.

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree or equivalent training/education/experience, plus at least 2 years of experience as a head mechanic (or equivalent combination).
•Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other malfunctions of machinery and equipment.
•Read and interpret instructions and operations manuals; follow step-by-step procedures.
•Train others.
•Know electrical/electronic/mechanical, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic operations, and programmable controllers for maintenance and repair.
