Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze an existing multi-product architecture to understand why it works the way it does before proposing changes.
  • •Provide evidence-based assessments of code/design quality across product lines, including correctness, security posture, coupling, and capacity risk.
  • •Write and review RFCs and ADRs, making assumptions, failure modes, capacity implications, and security explicit.
  • •Design extend-vs-rebuild decisions with incremental, reversible migrations and rollback paths.
  • •Design for peak load and abuse scenarios (rate limits, velocity checks, idempotency), raising risk trade-offs during design and review.

Salary: EUR 42 hourly
Perks:Remote Work

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience designing across multiple products/teams’ surfaces with strong staff-level architecture judgment.
  • •Anticipate future use cases, scaling limits, and shared dependencies, and communicate trade-offs in cost and capacity terms during design reviews.
  • •Review designs constructively to identify issues in scalability or change cost early; work as a technical peer with Staff engineers and engineering managers.
  • •Design services with iterative/autonomous development in mind using bounded contexts and minimal cross-service dependencies; plan for expected peak load and validate with testing.
  • •Secure-by-default engineering: understand and explain every line of shipped code, write edge/failure-case tests, and apply OWASP Top 10 practices (e.g., secrets management, input validation, data handling).
