Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop short-term production planning and scheduling for daily and weekly horizons with stakeholders across mine planning, production operations, and processing technical.
  • •Complete routine safety interactions with front line workers across different work fronts across the concentrator.
  • •Identify areas for improvement in day-to-day processing by working with the processing technical team to complete projects.
  • •Work with the control room and production operations to understand and report downtime events.
  • •Complete weekly and monthly performance reconciliations for mill and flotation performance while learning and implementing the Rio Tinto Safe Production System.

  • •Be a registered student at a recognized American university and have the right to work full-time in the United States with a valid Driver’s license.
  • •At least one year completed in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
