Job Summary

Join a fully remote engineering team building the next generation of AI CX tools—automated QA, conversational analytics, knowledge assist, and agentic automation—for enterprise brands. As Principal Software Engineer, you’ll tackle the hardest platform architecture problems, ship reference implementations, unblock squads by writing code, and co-own platform-architecture responsibilities for the C1 Platform Foundation in a fast-moving startup-like environment. You’ll use AI throughout development to accelerate delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Solve the hardest problems across squads, including platform architecture decisions (event bus, plugin lifecycle, multi-tenancy, RBAC, schema registry) with the engineering leader.
•Create pattern-setting reference implementations by shipping code.
•Train and unblock engineers by writing code and raising the team’s level.
•Use AI throughout the development workflow to accelerate delivery.
•Jointly own platform architect responsibilities for the C1 Platform Foundation.

Key Requirements

•12+ years hands-on software development across 7+ languages, with senior-level Go required.
•Expect Python and TypeScript, and ability with a native/systems language is a plus.
•Deep understanding of high-capacity distributed systems (state management, race conditions, locking, contention, ordering, back-pressure) proven through production debugging.
•Experience with multiple messaging systems (NATS, Kafka, Redpanda, RabbitMQ-class) and database types (relational, KV, document, columnar, graph).
•Strong AI knowledge (LLMs, SLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, agents, training/fine-tuning, eval) with hands-on experience embedding AI into code.
