Key Responsibilities

  • •Support engineering and design efforts for a stellarator fusion power plant program in Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • •Contribute across disciplines including mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation & controls engineering.
  • •Perform piping, structural, and electrical design work using CAD tools.
  • •Apply project controls and scheduling experience for large-scale heavy industrial/power generation projects.
  • •Engage with AECOM’s recruiting team about potential opportunities and expected hiring timing (Q4 2026/Q1 2027).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering with at least 6 years of experience in Heavy Industrial and/or power generation markets.
  • •For design roles: Piping/Structural/Electrical Designers (CAD) with HS + 6 years relevant experience, or AA/AS (US) + 4 years relevant experience in Heavy Industrial and/or power generation design.
  • •Expert-level proficiency with AutoCad and Revit.
  • •Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience in Project Controls and Scheduling for large-scale heavy industrial and/or power generation projects.
  • •Professional Engineering License and/or leadership experience (noted as preferred).
