Job Summary

Support the Pharmacy Team at a flagship hospital by assisting the day-to-day running of the dispensary under supervision of a Senior Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacist support. Dispense and check outpatient prescriptions, provide patient counselling and counter service, manage stock and prescription documentation, and help ensure charges and ward stock levels are accurate. Follow all relevant legislation and SOP standards while covering scheduled opening hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in providing a comprehensive pharmacy service that meets service users’ needs.
•Dispense and check outpatient prescriptions, ensuring appropriate checking procedures are followed.
•Participate in patient counselling and department counter service as appropriate.
•Manage stock, including storage, rotation, expiry checking, and supporting the stock distribution function.
•Maintain prescription documentation and ensure charges are posted appropriately in line with requirements.

•Ensure processes follow relevant legislation and SOP standards.
