Location: London
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Data Science & Machine Learning
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate ambiguous customer problems into tractable optimization formulations.
  • •Decide whether to use a classical solver, an LLM, or a workflow, and own the tradeoffs.
  • •Scale reinforcement-learning-guided optimization from prototypes toward reliable production systems.
  • •Calibrate and validate optimization models against production data to ensure live operational performance.
  • •Build solver stacks and surrounding engineering (data handling, integrations, and usability).

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 5 years applying optimization to real industrial problems in production (not only academic work).
  • •Hands-on experience with an industrial-strength solver stack such as Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools, Pyomo, or JuMP.
  • •Strong Python skills.
  • •Strong mathematical ability, including reasoning about formulations and where they hold or break.
  • •Experience shipping production systems and iterating through ambiguity to reach working results.
