Key Responsibilities

•Control and operate a skid steer machine during the road paving process.
•Operate additional equipment including a power broom and run grade control on a milling machine.
•Perform flagging and laboring as needed during paving operations.
•Assist the construction/paving crew with shoveling, raking, wheelbarrow work, and other site duties.
•Maintain safe work practices and support traffic control by placing, moving, and dismantling signs, barricades, cones, and devices.

Key Requirements

•Prior experience with asphalt paving equipment.
•Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
•Thorough understanding of asphalt paving: preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, and compaction details.
•Responsible for efficient working condition of the equipment, including minor servicing and maintenance or escalating major problems.
•High school diploma or GED required; one to two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
