Job Summary

Coordinate and lead delivery of a 12-month Women in Leadership programme funded through external grants. Own programme planning, risk management, governance, milestone tracking, and alignment with WHO and AFRO priorities. Manage consultants and service providers (including contracting, onboarding, and quality assurance), oversee budget and grant utilization, and supervise monitoring, evaluation, learning, and donor reporting while supporting change management and integration into AFRO policies and systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead planning, prioritization, sequencing, and coordination of programme interventions; manage implementation risks and ensure compliance with donor and WHO requirements.
•Coordinate overall Women in Leadership programme implementation, achievement of milestones and deliverables, and maintain project plans, workplans, schedules, risk registers, and implementation trackers.
•Develop terms of reference and procurement requirements, coordinate contracting and onboarding of consultants and vendors, and supervise/quality assure consultant deliverables.
•Provide financial oversight of implementation, resource allocation, and grant utilization; track expenditure, forecasts, and compliance with donor and WHO financial requirements.
•Supervise monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting (including dashboards and indicators), oversee donor/progress reports, and support change management and integration of outputs into AFRO policies and systems.

Key Requirements

•First university degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, International Development, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional experience in project/programme management, monitoring and reporting, consultant management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change initiatives.
•Working experience from UN, international, or NGO organizations.
•Excellent knowledge of English or French, with good working knowledge of the other.
•Intermediate knowledge of Portuguese (desirable) and computer literacy to use relevant software and applications.
