Join GDIT as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting NETCOM and the Army’s DoDIN-A Enterprise. You’ll lead Tier III engineering activities in the Integrated Test Environment – Federated Lab (ITE-F), validating and integrating enterprise updates, patches, and configurations. Work with NETCOM capability teams and cybersecurity partners to execute functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement using virtualized environments, STIG/SCAP tooling, ACAS/Nessus scanning, and ITIL processes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead/Support full lifecycle Tier III engineering activities within ITE-F, including patch testing, integration validation, baseline maintenance, and STIG/vulnerability compliance checks with documented test results.
•Collaborate with NETCOM capability teams, system owners, cybersecurity specialists, and configuration management personnel to execute functional testing and resolve technical issues.
•Drive innovation and continuous improvement by identifying system deficiencies and supporting configuration, change, and release management processes.
•Utilize virtualized environments, STIG/SCAP tools, ACAS/Nessus, Windows/Linux server technologies, VMware platforms, scripting, and enterprise testing frameworks for engineering validation.
•Perform Tier III engineering and troubleshooting across enterprise IT systems.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 88,130 - 115,000 annually

•Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or additional years of experience.
•5+ years of related experience.
•Top Secret/SCI clearance (must currently possess).
•Strong Windows and Linux system administration with STIG/SRG hardening, ACAS/Nessus scanning, and SCAP compliance.
•Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and coordinating patch-cycle testing deadlines.
