Job Summary

Own day-to-day International Business Unit Control activities for Global Markets and Treasury, including daily P&L control, general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting. Act as a trusted finance business partner to Front Office, Market Risk, Treasury, FP&A, Financial Reporting, and Business Control management. Provide independent validation of reported financials, support new product requests, and help deliver control framework and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure work follows departmental policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions to maintain controlled, consistent execution.
•Produce timely and accurate financial and management accounting statements and reports aligned with Group reporting standards and control requirements.
•Perform comprehensive P&L analysis, including variances, realized/unrealized components, revaluation curve movements, and attribution between source systems and the General Ledger.
•Carry out daily and month-end P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, substantiation, reporting, and independent validation of GM financials.
•Provide finance business partnering and day-to-day support to Global Markets stakeholders, including Front Office queries, commentary for threshold breaches, and support for new business/product initiatives.

Key Requirements

•3–5 years’ experience in a Product Control function.
•Experience developing financial and management MI reporting and automating processes.
•Technical knowledge of pricing and accounting for financial products (e.g., Fixed Income, MM, FX, IR, Commodities, Equities, Derivatives).
•Strong understanding of Global Markets and Investment Banking products and related technical/accounting treatments.
•Excellent understanding of governance, risk, and control assessment techniques, including strong financial math (e.g., curves).
