Key Responsibilities

  • •Select pipe type/size and related materials and equipment according to job specifications.
  • •Inspect the worksite for obstructions and plan the installation sequence to avoid conflicts.
  • •Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes and fittings using appropriate tools and joint methods.
  • •Mount hangers and brackets and secure piping to structure using hand and power tools.
  • •Test installed piping systems for leaks and perform minor maintenance/cleaning on tools and equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Journeyman-level ability to assemble and install pipes and fittings using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
