Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance across port equipment such as cranes, straddle carriers, reach stackers, trailers, and terminal infrastructure.
  • •Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs to minimise equipment downtime and support operational performance.
  • •Maintain and inspect site infrastructure including reefer points, power distribution systems, barriers, lighting, generators, and related equipment.
  • •Work safely using permit-to-work procedures, safe isolation, PPE, and environmental requirements.
  • •Record defects, maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs accurately in company maintenance systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent).
  • •Previous experience maintaining heavy plant, industrial equipment, port equipment, or infrastructure systems.
  • •Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • •Experience working within safety-critical or industrial environments.
  • •IT literate with experience using maintenance management systems.
