Own the technical direction for complex products and platforms used for high-stakes engineering decisions. Partner with Product Management and architects on new application design and major enhancements, serve as the first technical escalation point, and shape architecture decisions that hold up across releases. Lead design and code reviews, evaluate performance/scalability/security weaknesses, drive improvements, and mentor engineers while staying current with relevant tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Shape the technical direction of the products and platforms you own across near-term and long-term horizons.
•Scope major technical work by estimating effort, identifying risks, and defining the delivery approach.
•Design and build new applications and major enhancements in partnership with Product Management and architects.
•Serve as technical authority for your area, handling hard decisions and deep problems as the team escalation point.
•Evaluate and improve architecture/implementation for performance, scalability, and security; lead reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
•10 or more years of software development experience.
•Deep proficiency in at least one of: Java, C#/F# (.NET), C++, Python, or TypeScript (React/Angular/Node.js) with a history of delivering production software.
•Experience designing and owning the architecture of a complex software system or major subsystem across multiple releases.
•Proven technical leadership across a team or product area, with strong communication for explaining technical trade-offs clearly.
