Job Summary

Inventory Officer with responsibility for planning and managing Navy surface fleet inventory, co-located with Defence across multiple sites. You’ll optimise stock holdings, ensure internal and external customer requirements are met, maintain export control compliance, and support procurement/repair of inventory while using logistics databases and tech systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Support material management planning and scheduling, including analysis and optimisation of inventory holdings and locations for maintenance periods of different ship classes
•Meet customer requirements for both internal and external, including stock level maintenance and fleet management
•Maintain export control compliance across all Material Support functions
•Be comfortable with technology and logistics databases in support of program requirements
•Work with the SPO Sourcing Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain stock levels

Key Requirements

•Certificate IV in Logistics, Supply Chain or Distribution (or equivalent)
•Minimum 3 years’ experience with inventory management operations
•Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, EAGLE, MILIS)
•Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office
•Eligible to obtain and maintain NV-1 Security clearance
