Job Summary

Work as part of a project team supporting the delivery of building-structure projects in line with document control and QA processes. Assist with compiling design specifications, checking compliance through calculations, and organizing detailed design work to WSP and Building Regulations standards. Perform technical calculations, develop computer-aided design models and analysis, and coordinate work and queries with the WSP USA team while helping manage project risks and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow document control and QA processes, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and archived appropriately.
•Assist with compiling design specifications within deadlines, including compliance checks using calculations and manufacturer literature.
•Organize and carry out detailed structural design to WSP and Building Regulations standards, including CDM, QA, technical review, and sign-off by the project leader.
•Undertake technical calculations to industry standards with the team; supervise delegated work and report issues, risks, or client changes.
•Prepare elemental work for project budget costing and handle day-to-day queries from the WSP USA team to support construction activity.

Key Requirements

•B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
•Desirable: obtain or be in the process of obtaining a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in US states or British Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent).
•Proficiency in structural design software such as RAM SS, RAM Concept, and ETABS.
•Basic experience in Revit drafting and modeling for building structures.
•Fluency in English and an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
