Job Summary

The Site Technical Associate Manager provides ongoing technical support and improvement for existing infant formula products at the Wanamingo Supply Center, while qualifying new products and processes. You’ll partner with Operations, R&D, and Quality, lead tech transfer and validation activities, troubleshoot on the shop floor, and drive cost reduction and productivity improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.

•Partner with Operations, R&D, and Quality to ensure products are manufactured right the first time, from initial product qualification through ongoing formula optimization.
•Work with shop floor manufacturing teams to troubleshoot operational problems and drive manufacturing improvements in powder blending and packaging.
•Manage scale-up and qualification plans for new products, following the Tech Transfer process with emphasis on technical due diligence and risk assessment.
•Develop validation protocols and reports to qualify manufacturing and cleaning processes.
•Interact with FDA when onsite for audit as a subject matter expert.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Degree in chemical science (Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Food Technology, or related) with 3+ years hands-on manufacturing support experience.
•Experience in manufacturing support is essential in infant formula, dairy products, nutritional food products or pharmaceuticals.
•Demonstrated competencies include problem solving, practical judgment, initiative, leadership, attention to detail, and strong communication.
•Understanding of regulatory and GMP requirements for manufacturing infant formulas or other highly regulated product types.
•Experience in process qualification and creation/execution of qualification documentation.
