Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain ingestion of security-relevant telemetry into Elasticsearch from cloud provider audit logs, identity/SaaS activity, and endpoint/asset data via APIs and custom integrations.
  • •Keep Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes clusters healthy by monitoring and upgrading regularly, managing capacity/shards, running ILM, and enabling cross-cluster search (CCS).
  • •Use Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure and Elasticsearch resources, including pipelines, index templates, and alerts; deploy scheduled ingest jobs using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • •Apply AI automation and tooling (e.g., self-healing jobs, health checks, alerting, CLIs, and agent-assisted workflows) to reduce toil for investigation and operations.
  • •Ensure data quality and reliability by monitoring flow, backfills, schema/field consistency, and cost impact.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to operate Elastic and Elasticsearch in production, including ingest pipelines, index templates, mappings, and queries while keeping clusters healthy and upgraded.
  • •Experience with ECK or Elasticsearch on Kubernetes is strongly preferred.
  • •Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debugging, and operations while owning final outcomes.
  • •Hands-on experience deploying and operating Kubernetes workloads (scheduled jobs, Helm charts, operators) and troubleshooting pods/jobs in a cluster.
  • •Ability to use Terraform for infrastructure and Elasticsearch resources as code, plus REST API integrations for ingestion (auth, pagination, rate limits, concurrency, error handling).
