Key Responsibilities

  • •Back in and remove trailers from the dock as required for loading/unloading.
  • •Operate yard trucks to move trailer in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • •Move the correct trailer between yard and door and ensure trailers are safely secured.
  • •Set reefer units to appropriate settings, check startup needs, refuel reefers and/or yard trucks as needed.
  • •Perform shuttle truck pre-inspection for safety/mechanical defects and maintain shuttle truck cleanliness; report fuel/oil leaks to maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year of experience using a tractor-trailer to back trailers to and from loading/unloading docks.
  • •Must have at least 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years.
  • •Must be at least 18 years old with a valid state driver's license.
  • •No DUI/DWI’s in the last 12 months.
  • •Must be willing to perform physical job requirements (bending, twisting, climbing in/out of the cab, walking) and tolerate extreme cold and heat.
