Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out daily operations of an armored vehicle repair facility, including preparing vehicles for overseas shipment and receiving vehicles from manufacturers/armoring companies.
  • •Diagnose and repair DS armored vehicles using technical manuals and accepted industry practices, and develop troubleshooting solutions for environmental and weight-related issues.
  • •Perform major and minor automotive repairs to OEM systems and armor-specific remediation, including disassembly/assembly, cutting/fitting armor materials, welding/fastening components, and removing/installing run-flat devices.
  • •Prepare detailed repair reports for domestic and overseas model vehicles and communicate findings to the team for necessary actions.
  • •Use a web-enabled application to enter maintenance requirements and track repair/maintenance costs for DEAV repairs.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of related experience in automotive service and vehicle repairs.
  • •Knowledge of adjustments/alignments and how to maintain armored vehicle components throughout their useful life.
  • •Knowledge of automotive repair tools, including computerized vehicle manufacturer diagnostic tools, welding and power tools, jacks, and hoists.
  • •Ability to plan, diagnose, and complete complex repair assignments and test OEM and aftermarket parts/systems to ensure correct function.
  • •Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s license.
