Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and update personal tool inventory quarterly to stay compliant with calibration and tool replacement protocols.
  • •Complete daily customer work assignments and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems by phone or on site.
  • •Understand and support warranty policy, including initiating warranty claim processing and evaluating/validating claims (Level 2/3).
  • •Communicate service activities to the Customer and Service Manager via daily service reports and e-mail/telephone communication.
  • •Provide specialized solutions and (at higher levels) rebuild components to OEM specifications, and serve as a subject matter expert/trainer for other technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •Read basic hydraulic and 24-volt schematics and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, with basic computer skills and familiarity with Epiroc equipment.
  • •Complete required TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year of employment (timing varies by level).
  • •Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration training certificates or complete the training program(s) to acquire them.
  • •Maintain a valid driver’s license (CDL if required) and be at least 18 years old to drive within state lines.
  • •Possess own hand tools and maintain/expand a tool inventory in line with Epiroc’s required tool list and calibration/replacement protocols.
