Job Summary

Manage construction site EHS compliance by implementing EHS management and environmental health and safety plans, supporting job hazard analyses, and reviewing contractor EHS submittals. Facilitate weekly EHS meetings, perform frequent site visits, track contractor compliance and incident corrective actions, and prepare daily and monthly EHS reporting with monthly metrics and trending. Key Responsibilities

•Implement requirements of the Construction Manager’s EHS management plan and EHASP.
•Support preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and conduct training for CM staff including orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
•Review contractor EHS submittals (e.g., EHASPs, JHAs, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management, waste management, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, SWPPP).
•Facilitate weekly EHS meetings, conduct site visits, and track contractor compliance; review EHS Representative daily reports and address nonconformance.
•Prepare and submit daily and monthly EHS reports and metrics, oversee emergency action plans and drills, and manage EHS annual reporting (EPCRA, hazardous waste, confined space).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 135,000 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related field plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
•Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
•10 years of relevant EHS field and management experience in construction, preferably underground construction & tunneling.
•Familiarity and experience with NYCDEP safety and health regulations.
•Knowledgeable in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 regulations, including OSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety and HAZWOPER refresher requirements.
