Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the compliance strategy, governance, and oversight model for Southeast Asia across Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
  • •Build and maintain a scalable regional compliance framework (AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, data security and privacy) aligned to market-specific requirements.
  • •Coordinate regulatory engagement with financial regulators, serving as principal contact for licensing, supervisory inquiries, inspections, reviews, and remediation.
  • •Advise business, product, and operations teams on regulatory permissibility and compliance implications of new products, channels, partnerships, and operating model changes.
  • •Oversee compliance governance mechanisms and manage material compliance risks, escalations, remediation, and regulatory submissions while partnering with internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal, or related control functions in payments/fintech/banking/e-money or broader financial services.
  • •Experience leading compliance programs across multiple Southeast Asian markets.
  • •Track record of direct regulator engagement (supervisory dialogue, licensing support, inspections, thematic reviews, remediation).
  • •Ability to advise fast-growing technology-enabled businesses in regulated environments across complex, matrixed, cross-border organizations.
