Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coordinate, and oversee training programs in areas including health and safety, precision mechanical assembly, manufacturing procedures, engineering drawing and blueprint interpretation, and other technical skills.
  • •Provide guidance and support to trainers and employees to ensure effective learning outcomes across varying skill levels.
  • •Monitor training effectiveness and implement improvements to maximize employee performance and engagement.
  • •Evaluate and improve training systems, workflows, and procedures to ensure consistency and standardization across all training activities.
  • •Maintain training documentation, records, certifications, and compliance requirements in accordance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • •Develop, update, and standardize training materials including presentations, work instructions, job aids, assessments, and onboarding resources as required.
  • •Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify operational skill gaps and develop training strategies that support production goals and workforce capability.
  • •Ensure training content remains current with changes in equipment, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Support succession planning and cross-training initiatives to strengthen workforce flexibility and readiness.
  • •Supervise day-to-day training activities, schedules, and onboarding programs to ensure employees complete required training within established timelines.
  • •Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to trainers and trainees as needed.
  • •Track employee training progress, qualifications, and certifications to maintain compliance and support operational planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Technical Training, Human Resources, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • •3–5 years of experience in training, workforce development, or technical instruction within a manufacturing environment
  • •Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising training activities or teams
  • •Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • •Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
