Location: London
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Build the orchestration layer across LabOS to coordinate experiment scheduling, execution, and results processing.
  • •Create interfaces and APIs that provide scientists and AI agents real-time visibility into lab activity.
  • •Develop custom AI agents and tooling to automate decisions across the experiment lifecycle, from protocol design to troubleshooting.
  • •Convert proprietary lab hardware into API-controllable devices that agents and software can operate programmatically.
  • •Design scheduling systems that coordinate dozens of lab instruments with complex dependency chains.

Key Requirements

  • •Full-stack production experience across the stack (TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres), with ability to work broadly.
  • •Product instinct: shipped, monitored users, iterated, and shipped again.
  • •Comfortable in ambiguity: start from goals, scope work, decide what to build or skip, and create your own plan.
  • •Experience building with AI tools while knowing how to judge what “good” looks like.
  • •Curiosity about biology; you don’t need prior background, but should be excited by running experiments in the physical world.
