Job Summary

Coordinate and complete pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including hot tapping, valve maintenance, pigging, pipe cleaning, hydrostatic testing, and leak surveys. Perform excavation and operate heavy pipeline construction equipment to support work on natural gas pipelines, conduct locating/marking and pressure testing, and help with pipeline repairs and coating inspection. Partner with a Pipeline Crew Leader, oversee contractor work as needed, and ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with hot tapping and stopple equipment, perform valve maintenance, pigging operations, pipe cleaning, hydrostatic testing, and leak surveys.
•Mobilize, operate, and maintain heavy excavation equipment to support pipeline work.
•Perform troubleshooting and valve maintenance on DOT mainline isolation valves; manage pipeline pig launch/monitor/receive.
•Conduct locating/marking of pipelines and perform pressure tests and pipeline repairs (including CP test points and encirclement sleeves).
•Handle administrative tasks such as ordering/receiving replacement parts, completing time sheets/expense accounts, maintaining a company vehicle, and representing the company with contractors/vendors as needed.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory policies to handle hazardous waste properly.
•Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance procedures.
•Operate heavy pipeline excavation equipment (including large trucks).
•Read and interpret company policies/procedures, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and blueprints.
•Must have or acquire and maintain a valid CDL driver license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
