Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on infrastructure schemes and support a team of technicians by assisting their development to improve knowledge and strengths.
  • •Play a proactive role in the design process and contribute across several projects at the same time.
  • •Ensure drawings are produced according to relevant technical standards and WSP/client CAD standards documentation.
  • •Develop CAD and BIM skills within the team, support strategic BIM documentation, and drive Lean process improvements.
  • •Supervise and review CAD output from others, assist resource management, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or degree level qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 12+ years’ relevant post-graduate experience.
  • •Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification.
  • •Professional qualification such as EngTech with a recognised institution.
  • •UK Highways project experience and working knowledge of UK design standards (e.g., DMRB, MfS, TSRGD, HCD, IAN 184).
  • •Ability to understand and communicate BIM and CAD standards for civil engineering projects.
