Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, prepare, and maintain cost-efficient CNC machining programs, including routing/operational process sketches, fixturing, and gages for safe aerospace hardware manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and testing.
  • •Design, develop, and implement CNC machining processes; verify program success through prove-outs to produce high-quality production parts.
  • •Manage multiple manufacturing engineering projects across complex work teams and interface with design, operations, supply chain, and ELSS to support design for manufacturability from inception through shipment.
  • •Optimize assembly and test utilization by upgrading tooling and programming to improve first-pass yield, and maintain production routings and time standards when processes or equipment change.
  • •Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction through lean/kaizen/value stream map activities, provide floor support, and assist quality with root-cause/corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • •1+ years of CNC programming experience as an engineer, CNC programmer, or machinist, including complex lathe, mill, 5-axis, grinding, shaping, and hobbing in precision manufacturing.
  • •Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming for live tooling, sub spindles, Y-axis milling, and multi-axis machining.
  • •Strong working knowledge of SPC and Six-Sigma principles.
  • •Advanced experience in Mastercam, including creating and optimizing tool paths for complex geometries.
