Job Summary

Ensure compliance with UAE (UAE FIU and ADGM Rulebook) Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) requirements by reviewing, adjudicating, and reporting suspicious activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, and other criminal activity. Partner with internal stakeholders to improve SAR quality, accuracy, and timeliness, meet regulatory reporting deadlines, and support initiatives that strengthen compliance systems, policies, and procedures within the local Compliance Management team.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with UAE SAR regulations and guidelines (UAE FIU and ADGM Rulebook requirements).
•Review, adjudicate, and report suspicious activities in a timely manner related to money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, and other criminal activities.
•Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen the quality, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of SARs and other external reporting to the UAE FIU.
•Ensure UAE FIU regulatory reporting timeframes are met.
•Support the local Compliance Management team with implementation of new initiatives and improvements to systems, policies, and procedures.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of compliance experience, including 3 years of financial crime/FI (preferably UAE) experience on AML/transaction monitoring processes.
•Strong SAR writing expertise for 2+ years, including SAR report writing skills.
•Sound financial crime compliance knowledge and strong understanding of suspicious activity regulations and guidelines.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
