Job Summary

Lead and develop the Mermaid program at Atlantis Dubai, combining operational leadership with active performance. Oversee show quality, choreography, and guest interactions while maintaining safety, professionalism, and a positive team culture. Coordinate training, safety readiness, scheduling, and equipment/consumables management, and support recruitment, onboarding, and development pathways. Refresh show content, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to new guest experiences and revenue-generating activations.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop the Mermaid team, setting standards for professionalism, safety, performance quality, and positive guest and team culture.
•Oversee choreography and ensure high standards across mermaid shows, meet-and-greets, children’s parties, and guest interactions.
•Coordinate training, safety drills, emergency preparedness, rehearsals, show reviews, and skill development.
•Prepare and manage daily schedules and lead daily team briefings; conduct performance check-ins and feedback sessions.
•Maintain equipment and program operations: report equipment issues, recommend purchases, manage consumables/props, and perform as required in underwater shows and special events.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Mermaid performance or comparable aquatic/guest entertainment performance (e.g., freediving, synchronized swimming, diving, theatre).
•Minimum 2 years of management, supervisory, team leadership, training, coaching, or program leadership experience.
•Recognized Mermaid certification required; instructor-level certification in Mermaid/Freediving is preferred.
•Ability to hold breath underwater for extended periods and perform in a mermaid tail/monofin for extended periods in varying water temperatures.
•CPR, First Aid, and Rescue training (or willingness to obtain).
