Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide deep, hands-on technical authority across firewall, proxy/web security, and secure-access (SSE/SASE) platforms; perform weekly console/scripts/vendor API work and act as final escalation point for hard incidents.
  • •Own firewall rule lifecycle and hygiene, HA, FMC upgrades/migrations, perimeter and internal segmentation; manage PAC file management and proxy policy including SSL/TLS inspection.
  • •Manage secure connectivity and access components including VPN (IPSec/SSL), AnyConnect/Secure Client, site-to-site, OOB management, and partner access; maintain Cisco ISE/AAA identity controls.
  • •Drive operations and governance from reactive to a predictable run model using ITSM discipline, RCA, change governance, and SLA/KPI ownership; serve as senior ServiceNow change approver/reviewer.
  • •Write and maintain automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and vendor REST APIs; maintain lab/sandbox for testing; handle PSIRT cadence, patching, and vulnerability/advisory response.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on, current enterprise network security experience (~10–15 years), including Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD/FMC/ASA/Firepower) and at least one major proxy/SSE platform.
  • •Must-have certifications: current CCNP Security (350-701 SCOR plus relevant concentration) and at least one current SSE vendor credential (Zscaler preferred).
  • •Strong expertise in VPN and secure access (IPSec/SSL, AnyConnect/Secure Client, site-to-site, OOBM) with troubleshooting depth.
  • •Automation and operations skills using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and vendor REST APIs (Cisco FMC, Zscaler, ISE) to safely implement large-scale changes.
  • •Audit and governance readiness with ITIL v4 ways of working plus strong RCA discipline; familiarity with NIS2 and ISO 27001 is expected.
