Job Summary

Support offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across the Americas under senior counsel oversight. Help manage agency proceedings, labor board matters, arbitrations, and contentious exits, including statutory due process from notice through settlement. Draft and review termination and separation documents, assist with disciplinary processes, and conduct compliance risk assessments. Partner with HR, Customer Success, Sales, Payroll, and internal stakeholders while coordinating with external counsel on scope and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Support offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across the Americas under senior counsel guidance, including for-cause, without-cause, and other contentious exit scenarios.
•Assist with case intake, fact-finding, and compliance risk assessments for employee relations matters, guiding teams and clients through statutory due process.
•Support disciplinary hearings and dispute processes including conciliation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, contributing to sanctions analysis and resolution strategy under supervision.
•Draft and review termination notices, separation and release agreements, position statements, and supporting evidence to ensure defensibility and alignment with applicable standards.
•Liaise with external counsel across the Americas and partner with internal teams (HR Advisory, Customer Success, Sales, Payroll, Onboarding, and Legal) to strengthen offboarding frameworks.

Key Requirements

•Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and active admission to the Bar (or equivalent qualifying body) in an Americas jurisdiction, in good standing.
•2–5 years of post-qualification experience in employment law across the Americas, including exposure to agency proceedings, labor board complaints, arbitrations, and disciplinary/grievance hearings.
•Experience drafting position statements, demand letter responses, and pleadings, with exposure analysis across reinstatement, notice, severance, and damages.
•Working knowledge of Americas labor and employment regulations for termination and due process; familiarity with Mexican employment law is strongly preferred.
•Experience supporting employee lifecycle matters such as PIPs, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, and for-cause and without-cause terminations.
