Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the MWD process, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, and QC.
  • •Serve as a third person in a subordinate role and learn the LWD service line job role.
  • •Provide technical and operational expertise to external customers.
  • •Maintain equipment inventory, supervise movement to and from the well site, and check equipment/advise repairs.
  • •Maintain a computer database for ongoing jobs and prepare job tickets, daily reporting, and end-of-well reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Learn the job role for the LWD service line and work under strict supervision on-site.
  • •No previous experience; high school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of company tests/task guidelines.
  • •Demonstrate technical aptitude and the ability to perform measurement-while-drilling assignments using basic engineering and MWD principles.
  • •Read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
  • •Maintain onshore/offshore safety through relevant safety certificates.
