Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day oversight for the team by delegating and prioritizing execution and removing roadblocks to deliver database services.
  • •Own and develop the team’s technical strategy and service catalog in partnership with federal/program leadership.
  • •Collaborate with Project Managers/Scrum Masters on project timelines, execution, resources, risk management, and status reporting; step into a project manager role when needed.
  • •Drive innovation and continuous improvement to modernize delivery practices and introduce new services and ways of working.
  • •Oversee personnel management and incident oversight, including coordination during incidents and after-action reporting after closure.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/BA and 8+ years of experience in an IT-related discipline.
  • •Experience leading day-to-day operations and maintenance for a portfolio of technology services, including service delivery and project activities.
  • •People management experience including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring engineers.
  • •Hands-on technical expertise with enterprise databases and middleware, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server (and WebLogic for on-prem and cloud).
  • •Experience applying Agile and project management practices (Scrum/backlogs) and working knowledge of ITIL processes for incidents, problems, change, and service requests.
