Key Responsibilities

  • •Set and deploy WSP Canada’s commercial & risk strategy, governance, positions, and direction aligned with Global guidelines and DOA requirements across sectors and regions.
  • •Determine commercial & risk objectives, priorities, positions, and key actions within the region; build commercial & risk resources and teams across Canada.
  • •Act as key advisor to the President and the executive leadership team on material, complex, unforeseen, or new commercial and risk issues.
  • •Chair the Canadian Review and Approval Panel (RAP) for material opportunities and teaming agreements and lead bid reviews and escalated approvals with compliance and risk mitigation.
  • •Lead and manage commercial and risk teams/resources and budget, including managing direct reports and indirect sector commercial & risk leads; establish KPIs and provide reporting/analytics on bid and project performance metrics.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 208,229 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Professional designation in Law, Engineering or Finance (or equivalent) combined with 15+ years of industry experience in commercial and risk management for major engineering and construction firms.
  • •Deep knowledge and experience of the engineering and construction industry, including RFPs, RFQs, proposals, and project delivery models.
  • •Proven track record in opportunity selection, partnerings, proposals, contracts, negotiation, project change management, documentation, claims, and risk management.
  • •Executive leadership experience advising top leadership on cross-functional, enterprise-wide issues with significant reputational or financial consequence.
  • •Bilingual (French/English) required to support national teams and engagement with partners and clients.
