Job Summary

Lead Stripe’s Technical Solutions Engineering (TSE) team responsible for developer success and support for Stripe’s most complex users integrating with Stripe’s platform and products. Own the long-term vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations, strengthen cross-organization relationships to improve developer experience, and deliver a scalable, high-quality technical support experience. Recruit, coach, and grow user-facing engineers while defining and monitoring key support metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and deliver a comprehensive technical support experience for developers and Stripe’s most complex integrating users.
•Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the TSE team and manage day-to-day operations.
•Build relationships across Stripe to influence improvements to developer experience.
•Drive cross-functional initiatives to make developer experience more self-serve and impactful.
•Recruit, coach, and develop user-facing engineers; define and monitor key support metrics.

Key Requirements

•Experience leading, managing, and developing user-facing engineering teams.
•Background in software development in one or more programming languages.
•Ability to provide meaningful daily overlap with APAC business hours (for US-based candidates, Pacific Time; approximately 11 AM to 8 PM PT).
•Direct experience as a user-facing engineer (preferred).
•Technical enough to ask engineers strong questions about design and integration decisions (preferred).
