Job Summary

As a Motor Winder II, you’ll assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair large electric motor stators used in commercial HVAC systems. Work on a variety of winding tasks, inspect and verify dimensional/electrical requirements, complete production and quality documentation, and diagnose routine to moderately complex production issues. You’ll also operate CNC equipment and a SAMATIC coil winding machine, support process improvements, and train or assist apprentices and other team members at the Charlotte manufacturing site.

Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Independently perform winding, assembly, repair, and rework on motor stators, including more complex tasks within scope.
•Inspect, test, and troubleshoot stators during assembly and after winding; verify dimensional, electrical, and workmanship requirements.
•Complete production and quality documentation and maintain records for assigned work.
•Diagnose and correct routine-to-moderately complex production issues; support process improvements and waste reduction.
•Operate CNC machinery to cut insulation paper and manufacture coils using a SAMATIC coil winding machine; assist with equipment setup, maintenance, minor repairs, and training others.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
•Low voltage motor winding experience required; medium voltage motor winding experience preferred.

•Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs as required by job duties.
