Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide rich, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
  • •Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
  • •Augment course content using prescribed policies and procedures with asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach.
  • •Maintain gradebooks to ensure academic integrity, support placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to student performance concerns.
  • •Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students and learning coaches/parents; support curricular and instructional issues in the virtual classroom.
  • •Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests; travel as required for professional development and student testing (about once per month / ~20%).

Salary: USD 55,000 - 75,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree AND an Active state teaching license.
  • •Appropriate state Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification required.
  • •If currently certified in another state, provide proof of New Mexico license application within 7 days of the start date and obtain an approved New Mexico teaching license within 90 days.
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
  • •Experience with online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar teaching and/or online learning platforms (desired).
