  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling and consultations, conduct briefings/presentations, and provide referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Assist with establishing spending plans for extended absences and develop informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and respond to requests for age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Work with installation and branch POCs, manage duty to warn per DoD protocol, and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (may consider associate's plus 4 years, or high school plus 6 years in lieu of a bachelor's).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
  • •Hold one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC (DL driver license also listed as required).
