Job Summary

Design HV/EHV substation protection and control systems for Transmission and Distribution projects, from concept through completion. Create engineering deliverables including SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, and panel layouts, and develop relay settings philosophy in coordination with studies. Support protection coordination, vendor drawing reviews, and FAT/SAT/commissioning, ensuring designs comply with IEC, IEEE, National Grid, and client-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare Protection & Control engineering designs for HV/EHV substations (11kV–400kV or above).
•Develop Protection single line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
•Design protection relay panels, control panels, annunciation panels, metering panels, and RTU/SCADA interfaces.
•Perform protection coordination and review relay configurations, including relay settings philosophy coordination where applicable.
•Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and technical issue resolution while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and reviewing vendor drawings for compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
•Experience in HV/EHV Substation Protection & Control Design.
•Knowledge of protection schemes for Transmission and Distribution substations.
•Experience with protection relays from manufacturers such as Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric, or SEL.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
