Job Summary

Support the KeyBanc Capital Markets equity research team by collecting and analyzing statistical and financial data on economies, markets, and assigned industries. Synthesize research into trends and investment views, prepare reports and recommendations, and assist with financial statement modeling. Coordinate with firm personnel, maintain company databases, and contribute to special studies, models, forecasts, and presentations used by syndicate and investment banking teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, evaluate, and apply statistical and financial data to research common stocks within assigned industries.
•Analyze and synthesize research into trends, ideas, and investment decision-making recommendations.
•Formulate and issue opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in assigned industry groups.
•Prepare reports, models, forecasts, and related statistical data, including assisting with financial statement modeling.
•Interview company executives or industry leaders and maintain company databases using spreadsheets and database software.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 71,000 - 125,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field (or completion of at least 3 senior-level accounting/financial analysis courses).
•1+ years of experience in an analytical or financial role.
•Corporate financial modeling experience.
•Strong oral and written communication skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access, plus experience building financial models and manipulating equity data.
