Job Summary

Own technology category sourcing initiatives for Okta’s Strategic Sourcing team, leading and co-leading high-value RFx and contract negotiations for IT services and products (including software, network, SaaS, and IaaS). Develop procurement strategy, run supplier evaluations and performance reviews, perform spend and economic analytics, and partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and Privacy to ensure compliant, cost-saving outcomes while managing risk and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Gather business and technical requirements for RFx events and create documentation and business cases for multi-year supplier agreements.
•Conduct economic analysis of supplier proposals and assess internal and external risks for technology purchase transactions.
•Develop sourcing strategies aligned to business initiatives and lead the strategic sourcing process (RFx, supplier evaluations, and commercial contract negotiations).
•Build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and coordinate with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and other teams to ensure policy and process compliance.
•Measure supplier performance against contract Service Level Agreements, drive remediation, identify cost/value opportunities using spend analytics, and support sourcing-driven M&A activities (e.g., contract novation and consolidation).

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•3–5 years of experience in technology sourcing and procurement (infrastructure, SaaS, telecom, IaaS, AI), including category management and strategic sourcing in a global company environment.
•A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
•Strong negotiation and legal acumen, including understanding tech contract law, commercial terms, and risk requirements.
•Proven mastery of modern sourcing procedures, frameworks, and end-to-end procurement processes.
•Proficiency with Workday Strategic Sourcing (Scout), Coupa, or Ironclad (preferred).
