Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble, inspect, configure, and commission UPS battery cabinets, modules, busbars, fuses, breakers, communication harnesses, and monitoring components.
  • •Execute battery testing including charge/discharge, runtime, functional, thermal, communications, balancing, and commissioning tests.
  • •Configure and troubleshoot Battery Management Systems (BMS) and communications (Modbus, CANBus, Ethernet, RS-485).
  • •Use electrical test equipment and data-acquisition systems to record results and prepare test reports.
  • •Troubleshoot battery modules, BMS components, controls, sensors, and UPS integration using schematics and wiring diagrams while following Eaton safety requirements and approved energized-work procedures.

Salary: USD 56,000 - 83,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience with electrical power systems, batteries, UPS systems, industrial controls, or related technical roles.
  • •Working knowledge of UPS battery fundamentals (lead-acid and lithium-ion), battery strings/cabinets, charging/discharging, basic BMS operation, and high-energy DC hazards.
  • •Ability to work on or near energized electrical hazards using required arc-flash PPE, insulated tools, barricades, and authorized safe-work procedures.
  • •Experience performing non-routine live-work where de-energizing is infeasible (preferred).
