Key Responsibilities

•Serve as Rackspace’s primary executive physician voice, building relationships with hospital, payer, and life sciences executives to translate clinical goals into cloud and AI roadmaps.
•Lead clinical strategy for enterprise AI initiatives, including safe, HIPAA-compliant governance for generative AI, predictive analytics, and ambient documentation.
•Advise clients on financial mechanics of digital transformation, including evaluating TCO and optimizing OpEx/CapEx alignment to address legacy technology debt.
•Help clinical leaders with cloud modernization strategies for EHR workloads on secure private clouds to improve uptime, patient safety, and cyber resilience.
•Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to articulate business value and ensure solutions address clinician workflow pain points and interoperability (FHIR, HL7).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 245,000 - 385,000 annually

Key Requirements

•MD or DO.
•12+ years of progressive healthcare leadership, including 7+ years in clinical informatics, digital health, or health IT (e.g., hospital CMIO/Associate CMIO/CIO/CDIO/Chief Informatics Officer).
•Experience managing or advising on substantial technology budgets, with knowledge of health system P&L structures and capital allocation, and delivery of major EMR/ERP digital programs.
•Understanding of public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures, data residency, EHR hosting, and cybersecurity requirements.
•Practical experience with clinical decision support, analytics, and emerging generative AI tools.
