Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned THAAD support equipment per OEM technical guidance.
  • •Maintain and repair heavy tactical wheeled vehicles, trailers/battery support equipment, and material handling equipment (including rough terrain and forklifts).
  • •Maintain power generation systems, including HDT DRASH generators and HEMTT-mounted generators (Kubota/Cummins variants).
  • •Conduct scheduled maintenance services (semi-annual and annual), including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
  • •Maintain inspection/testing records and provide status updates while operating independently as the sole FSR at the assigned location.

Key Requirements

  • •Trained and qualified per 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent military/commercial certification.
  • •8–15 years of relevant maintenance experience supporting tactical or commercial heavy equipment.
  • •Experience with diesel engine maintenance, powertrain systems (transmissions, differentials, transfer cases), and hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting.
  • •Hands-on preventive maintenance knowledge, including PMCS, and ability to follow OEM Technical Manuals and standard procedures.
  • •Ability to work independently in field/OCONUS environments and meet medical/security/deployment requirements for in-country assignment.
