Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and ship AI-powered features across the product from prototyping through production quality.
  • •Work hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, and AI tooling to solve real product problems (not just experiments).
  • •Own technical decisions including architecture, model selection and integration approach, and tradeoffs among quality, cost, and latency.
  • •Build across the stack as needed, ensuring features are tested, monitored, and maintainable.
  • •Establish best practices for AI feature development and flag technical risks early, partnering with Engineering, Product, and the Senior Engineering Manager on planning and sequencing.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of software engineering experience, having shipped AI features to production and owned the full lifecycle from problem framing to post-launch iteration.
  • •Strong fullstack fundamentals with the ability to work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed.
  • •Practical experience using LLM APIs and techniques like prompt engineering and RAG in live systems, with judgment about when AI is appropriate.
  • •Evaluation mindset: define success metrics, run offline/online evaluations, and make decisions based on results.
  • •Production readiness including Docker fluency, CI/CD awareness, and logging/monitoring basics; experience integrating multiple LLM providers and vector databases (e.g., via LangChain).
